Hillel Yeshiva's Seventh Grade students proudly present our annual Jewish Heritage Fair, “UNMASK OUR PAST!” Behind our masks, we celebrate our past. We have been wearing our masks during this highly unusual pandemic year, but we've learned that our legacy is what matters most. In spite of a pandemic, in spite of antisemitism, in spite of wars, the Holocaust, the Spanish Inquisition, and all that the Jewish people have had to endure, our legacy and our traditions are the reasons we have survived, and we are proud of this! The seventh grade students at Hillel Yeshiva learned about their families' journeys to America, their ancestors' lives in Europe, Asia or Africa, and the Jewish lives they established for themselves once they arrived in the United States. The students were able to gain a deeper appreciation for the challenges and triumphs of generations past. In this exhibition you will see the artifacts and heirlooms that represent various stages in the Jewish journeys of our ancestors.
