Congregation Beth Emek, the "House of the Valley," is the center of the Jewish community in the Tri-Valley area of the San Francisco Bay Area, serving the communities of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, and Tracy. At Beth Emek, Jews meet to study and learn, to celebrate the cycle of the year, and to rejoice in Shabbat.

The 6th Grade Middle School class represents 22 of the more than 200 Jewish families in the congregation. This exhibition provides a snapshot of the history and lives of the families of the 6th grade students during 2009-2010.
