This wall hanging was a gift from my grandmother in Turkey. On it are many familiar Jewish and cultural symbols such as a Star of David, evil eye, and a horseshoe. It was given to my family for good luck.
The wall hanging combines both traditional Jewish and Turkish symbols. It represents the combination of these two cultures and my family's heritage.
This statue was given from my grandmother to my mom, on her wedding day of March 6, 1994. It is made out of tin and has Jerusalem Stone underneath. This statue was made and purchased in Israel. It was bought in an art gallery and my grandmother nearly dropped it when she gave it to my mom. It stands proudly on a shelf in the family room.
