Hebrew Grammar Book/Sefer Hadikduk
Brooklyn, New York
Josh's father, Robert S
This book belonged to Josh S's grandfather, Isidore S., z"l, who lived in Brooklyn. It was passed onto his son, Phillip, and then to Phillip's son, Robert. It is the first column of a textbook series on Hebrew grammar. Isidore was a teacher, principal and most importantly, a Hebrew scholar. This book reminds me of him.
This volume is a constant reminder of the Jewish heritage and history of Hebrew learning in Josh's family. Isidore was a teacher, principal and most importantly, a Hebrew scholar, He was an expert in Hebrew grammar and often heard correcting even the smallest of mispronunciations. It is also a reminder that one is never too old to learn, as most of Isidore's learning took place after age 30.
