My great-great-grandmother made it and wore it on her wedding day. She made it in the same year as her wedding when she was sixteen. She used different colored beads to form a rabbit and to edge the purse as well as to make the tassels.
This handmade artifact is over a hundred years old. It has been passed down from my. Great-great-grandmother to my grandmother.

This orange leather purse was made in a leather factory in Spain. My Aunt Isabel sent the purse from Spain to my Grandma. In the purse there is a note that reads "To Rhodee-- Greetings from a leather factory in Spain--Love, Isabel." This gift was obviously special to my grandma because we still have it.
To this day my family uses this small purse. My mother still keeps the note in the purse and carries change in it.
The note in the purse helps me imagine my great-aunt Isabel. She was my grandma's closest friend.
