Isaac, my great, great, great grandfather came to the USA in 1883 at age 16. Hew was a tailor on the Lower Eastside. He kept the first dollar that he earned and kept it in hsi watch fob. Even thought it was extremely valuable to have a dollar, he always wanted to know he could earn a living.
Isaac passed the dollar to Samuel and it was given to Audrey S. who gae it to Lesley at the bris of her son Isaac.
Engagement Ring and Fraternity Pin
Bucknell University
Great Grandmother and Grandfather
My great grandparents met at Bucknell University. Sam B. (Great grandfather) belonged to the Jewish fraternity on campus and Laura G. (Great grandmother) was given the pin to signify that she was taken. The engagement right was given to her by Sam's parents because they loved her as much as Sam did.
It's significant because even thought they were away from home it reminded them about their Jewish faith and love.
Antique Box and Coins
All over the world
My Grandfather
My grandpa went to Italy and brought back this box. My grandpa collected coins and gave them to me.
My grandpa gave me these and I like them.
