This artifact has been used on Passover for more than 60 years. My great-great grandma handed this plate down, and now my family has it. She got it as a wedding gift in 1955.
It is important to us because it is something beautiful and we can imagine our ancestors using it for Shabbat dinner.
The silverware was made in England and was given to my great grandparents, who then gave them to my grandma, who then gave them to my mom.
Jews have been reciting the same prayers for many years. We can go to synagogues around the world and hear prayers which are familiar to us. The prayers unite Jews all over the world.
