This napkin was used to celebrate Shabbat and other Jewish holidays/rituals every time friends and families are were invited over for these occasions. This kind of artifact indicates the importance of using different kinds of items to complete any kind of celebration in Jewish life. Every holiday or Yom Tov is important. Therefore must get every attention to be special and memorable.
This siddur is important to our family because it belonged to my grandfather. This is the siddur that my grandfather held with him in the army. When he was a soldier it helped my grandfather to be close to Hashem. He davened with it to pray that everything would be alright.
My grandpa gave my dad the sefer tefila. My grandpa used it in yeshiva. My dad might pass it on to me and I will keep it as safe as possible until mashiach comes. If he does give it to me at any time I will use it and I will cry for my grandpa because he passed away.
These Shabbos candlesticks were my great grandmother Pauline H. W.’s. She lit them every Friday night. She gave them to my mother for her bat mizvah. They are given from generation to generation as a way to keep the traditions of Shabbos alive in our family.
These Shabbos candlesticks represent our Jewish faith because on Shabbos we light them. Keeping the tradition alive is important to remind us of where we come from.
This artifact is a magnificent memory of my great great grandfather because it brings back so many memories to my family.
