This watch was found amongst my great grandparents possessions. It was given to my mom by her parents. It's important because it shows how my family made sacrifices to survive tough times. The pieces of the watch that remain help me to remember those in my family who have passed way.
Back then in Morocco, the Jews were treated very well by the Arabs and by the rest of the Moroccans. Now, the Jewish people and the Arabs fight and they really don't get along with them. This box was used as a makeup suitcase. It has the initials L. A. standing for my Great Grandfather's name.
