My grandmother had to give her uncle this coin to get her son, Keith, back. My uncle took Keith when he was just a baby. People who do this are known as "Cohen." You have to buy your son back with the coin. This is just a tradition, even if she didn't have the coin, my uncle would have still given her son back.
This naturalization paper belonged to my mom's dad, Joe. He died when my mom was 12. He used to live in Poland then he lived in the U.S. It was issued to him by the U.S. in the 1950s.
This artifact is the will of Harry S. who passed it down to his son Bill S. (my great grandfather) who passed it down to Bill's daughter (my grandmother) who passed it down to my father. This will is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where he owned a dairy farm.
This will shows the items he gave to his family and close friends whether it is a cow or an amount of money. A different amount of money was given to each person.
This photograph of my family was taken in 1931. Included are my Great Grandpa Max D., Great Grandma Freda D., Great Uncle Mike and Grandma Lois. They are all very special to me and remind me of the Jewish heritage that is my family.
